There are many different markers and garphical equipment out there. I would just like to share those that I like and recommend.
Although a bit expensive, my number one are Neulands. When you write with it, it provides a very constant ink flow – meaning your visuals will look very professional (dying out pen will completely ruin your work). They are also very practical with their ability to change used up nibs and refill them when they ran out of ink.
I also use a lot of Faber castell. Especially the thiny markers for sketchnoting. They also provide a nice variety of pastels: they are very useful for fast shading. Don’t forget to keep a stack of paper towels with you (you can use them to smudge the pasters or clean your fingers).
For fast colouring I suggest you use Panpastel’s with a sponge. It will save you time when drawing on a big scale. And these come in a very practical size, where you just dap your sponge and apply it to your surface. Afterwards if you want to make it permanent buy a cheap hair spray and apply it generously.
Lately I’ve been trying out also Chameleon pens. They are made on alcohol basis and are perfect for colour transitions. You connect But you have to get use to using them. They have two different nibs (round and brush one). Which comes in handy with lettering.
Also their collection contain a white pen, that can delete the colour of others. With it you can lighten the colour or completely erase it. Very handy is also the ability to draw ower with another colour – still work better with darker colours over lighter and I recommend using a thicker paper, so it doesn’t decompose under to many redrawals.
