Draw on the Back

Aim of the game To have fun while observing how a simple message can transform as it passes through a chain of participants. The team can also improve improvisation skills, gain positivity, and get energized.
Gameplay Broken telephone with drawings
Duration At least 20 min
Participants number 3 or more
Materials Paper (at least one page per participant for each round), pen or marker (1 per participant)
Detailed instructions Gather a group of players and form a line facing the same direction. Provide each participant with a sheet of paper and a drawing utensil.

The first person in line draws the picture on a sheet that is attached to the back of the person standing in front. The next person redraws the drawing on their page. However, since this person does not see the first image, they must rely on their senses. Participants continue to redraw the drawing until the last person has finished.

Everyone stands in a circle and shows their drawings. There is a brief discussion about how the final drawing differs from the original idea and why this happened.

Feel free to repeat the game with new messages or alternate starting players to experience different outcomes. Remember, the primary goal is to enjoy the creative process.
