Let’s sketchnote!

The main purpose of the workshop in Talin was to introduce sketchnoting as a great tool of studying and getting an overview of new presented material. The communal drawing as a great team building exercise and a way to get a visual overview of a collective understanding of the presented material will also be presented through the action.

They started with basics of sketchnoting and Eve inspired everybodywith her beautiful work –  that she amassed by sketchnoting every day which has been inspired by Make it visual! training course.

She provided loads of pencils, pens and other writing/sketching tools as well as a pile of small (same size and shape) pieces of paper to work on. Big amount of small scale papers encouraged everybody to work quickly and on many pages, so they didn’t focus to much on one page.

The participants listened to an interview with Martha Nussbaum on the topic of “The Fragility of Goodness”. They sketched the most interesting points in the recording on little papers and put the ready one’s in the middle of the table.

At the end they’ll gathered all the works and make a little temporary exhibition of them – so they could all see the result of their work together. This was a beautiful and witty summary of what they have just heard. The over drawing of the notes of the others will join the collection into one “whole” or one “piece”.
